Pete:

You are correct. However my subscription banner appears as below.  I do
this because my individual "on-the-fly" postings  are forwarded to others
lists/people.  If I don't edit the digest, the banner would appear after
each post in the digest, which I feel it a bit much for a digest with 10
items.

Do I hear you saying I can automatically have this "subscription banner"
placed after every individual "on-the-fly" post and only once in the digest?
