A subscriber to one of my listserv lists is being automatically
removed from another listserv listserv list maintained on the same
server for the same organization because, for some reason AOL is
sending back deliver error responses to listserv probes. In fact he
is getting all his mail- including all the mail from the listserv in
question. Aol techies can shed no light on the problem.

Has anyone here had problems with list mail sent to aol? Can you
shed any light on them? I frequently get notices of delivery
failures for my aol subscribers, but --unlike the above case--my
subscribers' problems seem to straighten out before cutoff
(delivery errors reported for a period of 5 days or more, or when
20 delivery errors have been received, whichever occurs first).
I also hear horrendous complaints about aol non-delivery of listmail
from yahoogroups owners--unfortunately their reports yield more heat
than light.

I am eager for enlightenment,
