Looks like you have a disk problem.  I would suggest you schedule the VMS
equivalent of CHKDSK at an early opportunity.  You can also delete the 
listname.DB* files in the message archives subsirectory and then GET/PUT the
List Header and then do any SEARCH command and LISTSERV will rebuild the index
files.  This seems advisable.
