If you do NOT have NOTEBOOK enabled, then you'll need assistance of the
listserv-maintainer to use DIGEST

This is how I have my daily digest definition (we already have NOTEBOOK
enabled) (yours will vary somewhat):

Digest= YES,/home/listserv/lists/finaid-l,DAILY,23:55,SIZE(1750)
DEFAULT-OPTIONS= DIGEST

To turn this on for existing subscribers:

First, tell them that you are going to do it; then

QUIET SET listname DIGEST NOMIME NOHTML

Individual subscribers may want to issue:

SET listname MIME FULLHDR

and take advantage of any post processing that their mail reader may
provide e.g., Eudora 5.1 mailbox processing of MIME DIGEST.

Others may want individual mail:

SET listname MAIL


You may also want to update your MAILTPL template for BOTTOM_BANNER
(which will appear at the TOP of the digest).
