St. Johns is in Jamaica, New York (Long Island) very close to NYC.
It's amazing that they were accessible yesterday, but not surprising
that they themselves were functioning, as things were reasonably
normal outside of Manhattan.

They may be down for some unrelated reason; it is also possible that
they have been rendered temporarily inaccessible due to disaster-
related telecommunications failures that hit today. Remember,
a *lot* of construction-type cleanup is being done in Manhattan
now.
