If the list is setup NOTIFY=YES, then you and the subscriber see
mail that says something like,
 
You can, if needed, send the following command to [log in to unmask]
(or LISTSERV@fqdn) to remove this person from the list: DELete xxxxxx-L
userid@node

As always, the best defense is a good offense: usual rules and
etiquettes in the Welcome Message.

I believe that there is always a line (drawn in the sand) that
someone will always (want to) step over.  And the retort,
"who are you to tell me" is always echoed.
