A long term list owner, for me, is one whose list-owning duties have
been heavily (broadly, if not deeply) exercised in many dimensions of
listownership.
 
In other words, it's not the period of time you put in, but what you
learned while serving. It implies experience.
 
Now, I suppose that if your list is like the proverbial rock of Sysyphus,
then even a moment of time is long, regardless of how much breadth
of experience you've gained in the exercise of keeping it rolling.
