    IMHO, fining spammers makes great sense. If you can make the medium too
expensive to use, spammers will go away (usually).
    I got some more info on Mr. Slaton. Apparently he is now getting other
people to obtain accounts for him and using aliases as well. One Internet
provider is considering legal action against him, but it is small claims court
stuff (violating terms of the agreement, etc.). Mr. Slaton is using a P.O. Box
and voice mail to hide from people as well.
