One way to do this is to set up procmail or a similar function (Eudora
Pro has these caabilities, I think) to automatically generate the
response whenever you receive a notification. Of course, your list would
have to be set to Subscribe=Notify or Subscribe=By Owner (preferred!) so
that you got a message when the subscribed.
If you're not familiar with programming, it seems a little daunting at
first, but basically you'd write a little script to "find" the name and
address of the new subscriber in LISTSERV's notification, and then let
the script generate your message to the list and send it out!
