LISTSERV(R), for security reasons, does not have a 'file delete' command.
The proper (and only) way to 'delete' a file is to PUT an empty file of
the same name.

Thus. if you want to get rid of your welcome file you send a msg to your
host Command Address: LISTSERV@your_host
a one line message: PUT listname WELCOME PW=your_password

Make sure your mailer does not add a sig line. There must not be anymore
lines in the message. LISTSERV interprets the first line as a command
and will replace the named file with whatever follows, in this case,
nothing, effictively deleting the file. You will get a confirmation
message that says the file has been deleted.
