No it does not.  PC-Pine and Pegasus are freely available mail clients that
do generate the proper Resent- fields, BUT, only if you do not edit the
message (Pine won't let you edit it, Pegasus removes the Resend option if
you do edit it).  You do not have to remove the Editor headers, LISTSERV
will do that itself.

If you are changing actual msg content then you are really altering the
message, so it should no longer properly come 'from' the original author
but the editor.
