To summarize:

I couldn't post from the web interface, and my log showed:
>>> Error in STDCMD FILE: internal routine *XPST unknown <<<
on startup.  Eric Thomas <[log in to unmask]> explained that this
meant that the stdcmd.file and the lsv executable were not in sync.

The suggestion was to update to the most recent beta, available at

ftp://ftp.lsoft.com/listserv-lite/beta-1.8d

I did this, and viola!  The errors are gone, and I can post from the
web interface!  Thanks to all who contributed to solving this one for
me!


P.S. I have directly copied those who I believe have posted similar
problems.
