I am forwarding this message to my mercur.usao.edu account because it is
the account under which I am subscribed to the Listowners' list. I'll
forward it to you from there.

I sent the following message to a list in Germany and received this odd
error message as a result (actually, I sent three messages, and each
generated an identical error). Keep in mind that my message was resent
by the KVB-L listserv program (I presume that's what they use). In the
process, not only did I receive the error message regarding whoever this
[log in to unmask] is (does AOL function in Germany?) but for some reason we end
up with a Wilhelm Brenzinger @ionet.net, my own provider! This address
looks like a computer generated mongrel conceived in transit. So far I
have not received my own copies of the messages I sent to the KVB-L (I am
set to repro and usually receive my messages within a few minutes).

Any ideas?

Confused and befuddled,

Ingrid Shafer
