     Help, anyone :-)

My Russia list's postings are appearing with additional information
in their headers (marked below) that I don't understand. Can anyone 'clue
the clueless' here? :-)

Thanks in advance for any light ...

The above still seems excessive to me, but that's how it's been, and
although I don't like it, I have no real complaint.

     The below seems pretty self-explanatory

Here's the new stuff that has just begun appearing (below) --
what is MIME, and what generates the content-type and content-transfer-
encoding fields?:

| MIME-version: 1.0
| Content-type: TEXT/PLAIN; CHARSET=US-ASCII
| Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT

The below is not unusual, but I still haven't figured out what
site(s) is(are) gatewaying my Russia list to the bit.listserv.russia
newsgroup, but I'd like to hunt them down because they're doing it
without my permission and very much against my wishes (i.e., I don't
want the Russia list gatewayed to *any* Usenet newsgroup, not even
the rather funky bit.listserv.* hierarchy).

[The posting to Russia was from me and from this address (JBHarlan@
IndyVAX.IUPUI.Edu) if that helps anything]

Many thanks for anyone/everyone who can help enlighten me!
