When I post an e-mail message to a list ([log in to unmask]) from
my machine anuxv.att.com, my mail comes back to me with the "From:" address
[log in to unmask] instead of [log in to unmask]
 
Here are some other, perhaps pertinent, pieces of information:
1. The mail gets sent out from my machine, through the AT&T gateway
   machine, and actually all the way to mitvma.mit.edu with the correct
   "From:" address.
2. Other members of the list (as far as I can tell) get my mail with the
   correct "From:" address.
3. (1) and (2) would indicate that the problem is in the AT&T gateway when
   the mail comes back to me, except that this doesn't happen to me with
   any other lists I belong to (none of which are BITNET lists, except
   ballroom and lstown-l -- I haven't posted to lstown-l before, so I'm
   curious to see what happens with this message).  It seems to be
   specific to the path that the return mail takes (via uga.cc.uga.edu,
   in particular).
4. anuxv.UUCP is a valid destination only within the internal AT&T
   network; it is not a centrally registered UUCP site.
 
Any ideas why this name translation is happening just for messages from
this BITNET server and not from other Internet mailing lists?
What can I do about it and whom should I try to get to fix it?
