Supressing Hard-Coded Messages

The company that I work for is starting to use ListServ however we are unable to suppress the hard-coded messages that subscribers receive.  For example:

        > ok
Confirming:
        > SUBSCRIBE LSTOWN-L Heather Callander
You have been added to the LSTOWN-L list.
If anyone knows how to suppress these hard-coded messages, please contact me.
