I'm getting acknowledgement messages from lstown-l when I post. When
I responded to the ack message with "set lstown-l noack," it told me
I'm not subscribed. But I just checked my options on the Web site at
PEACH.EASE.LSOFT.COM, and my account is set at noack. I seem to
remember that this has something to do with "peering" -- but I'm
damned if I can figure out what (or why a list needs to be "peered.")

Could somebody enlighten a dummy?
