|You need to have a POP mail account in the "generic" name you choose.
This is
|up to your service provider, unless you are lucky enough to run your own
|mailserver and can create your own POP accounts.  Forwarding is a function of
|the mail server.

Some institutions like Penn State operate a CSSO address server.  You
mail mailidx@domain and it "translates" (forwards) it to
[log in to unmask]  Often, a customer can (create) have multiple
mailidx's forwarding to the same useridz@some_other_host (where useridz
could be a POP mail account).

THEN, with a MUA such as EUDORA, you can configure multiple personalities
which can generate FROM: fields with the [log in to unmask]
