Actually, I'm not surprised at all. My listserv has about 150 lists. Most
of them are local, but guess who is the lists owner for most of them.
That's right ... me. The remaining are split between maybe 10 people and
only one or two of them are interested enough to subscribe to this list.
Most people, here or elsewhere, are just not interested in understanding
the big picture. If their little piece of the world works, they don't
want to deal with anything else. When they do have a problem, they vastly
prefer to dump it in someone else's lap than to research and solve it
themselves.
I think 250 people who want to learn about something out of half a
million users is pretty good!(Actually, there are a lot of people on many
lists; It's probably more like 30,000 users.)
