Dear Fellow List-Owners:

It is that time of the North American academic year where
subscribers start to leave their institutions, many with no
regard for the lists to which they are still subscribed.
Depending upon mailers and list keyword definitions involved,
many of those subscribers will end up bouncing their
distributions back to you.

Depending upon the nature of the bounce and your personal
experience, you might decide to suspend their distributions
(NOMAIL), set them to a digest distribution (if your list
supports it), or delete them (perhaps even QUIETly).

My advice, for those folks who are responsible, is to UNSUBSCRIBE
from the list, as opposed to setting themselves to NOMAIL. Why?
because subscriber addresses tend to change over a period of
time. This way, they will have a better chance of success in
renewing their distributions.
