I had a problem recently with a person who simply could not subscribe on
his own; he'd send subscribe requests and get no apparent response at all.

I checked the bounced confirmation requests and discovered that LISTSERV
was apparently ignoring his valid (and identical) "From" and "Reply-To"
addresses, and sending the confirmation requests to the "Sender" address,
which (in this particular case) was not valid.
