Yes.
There's an english major who sits behind me at work who insists on
pronouncing my screen name "phillo", no matter how many times I try to say
it out loud without actually confronting him, grabbing him by the throat,
and yelling in his face "IT'S PRONOUNCED PH"EYE"LO- STANDARD ENGLISH
PRONUNCIATION RULES. GET A BRAIN"
If it really bugs you that much, create a boilerplate "LISTSERV is the
machinery, list is the mailing list" doc, and mail it to the offender once.
Then try not to worry about it-they're an idiot.
