Actually, I'm (sort of) happy to say that I did try that before
posting the message - the digest seems to be truly empty. I have
requested all digest recipients to let me know how their copy looked,
but so far I have few responses and all are negative.

I don't think that this is a problem, but I can check each of the
messages that would have been in the digest. FWIW - the digest
usually has the list of message/subjects - but was missing that also.
