Regarding my original enquiry about "Unsolicited Advertisor [sic]," I
used Melvin Klassen's info on the domain contact for libhitech.com to
let them know about this, and got the attached response.

Looks like it's under control, so probably no need to bother the people
at New York Net further (thanks, Bob). By the way, I did an
(unsolicited) "quiet delete" of Mr. Advertisor. I did notice that he
had NOT set his options to nomail, so I suspect he got more than he
bargained for if, as it seems, he subscribed to numerous lists.

On the other hand, [log in to unmask] could be a perfectly legitimate
support address for the domain and some disgruntled person's idea of
revenge was to forge subscriptions for that address to as many lists as
possible. (I would recommend a "quiet delete" for other lists who have
been similarly subscribed to, primarily for this reason.) At any rate,
I think the right people have the relevant info now, so end of story (I
hope).

Thanks.

Chris, I know you've already spoken with the people at libhitech.com,
but I thought I'd forward you the attached anyway.

s.merchant: Thanks for your mail. I think the problem has been addressed
If you see any further activity of this sort, please do not hesitate to
bring it to your attention again.

This person has recently subscribed to several Listserv lists, with
the attention-getting pseudonym:
Unsolicited Advertisor <[log in to unmask]>

No harm done yet, but it looks like a precursor to a spam. Since you
are listed as the contacts for this domain, I thought I'd bring it to
your attention.

Thank you.
