Russ,
you can do a get of the known list you want to test, and change the name
and create a new russ-test list.  Then add yourself as owner and
subscriber to the russ-test list or whatever and start testing.

Yes, again attachments= No, does mean no attachments.  You would want
attachments= Yes.
