There are multiple approaches to this.  I suggest the simplest:
remove the listname from the title of your list in its headers.
It is simply redundant, and as you have pointed it, causes the
FROM: line to overflow causing some REPLY systems to fail.
 
If you have not done so, add a
 
* List-ID= EXOTIC-L
 
which aids in searching lists-of-lists
