Over the past ten years, I have moderated several public electronic
discussion lists and would like to extend my understanding of other
moderators' perceptions of and reflections on their roles, tasks, and
responsibilities (see http://emoderators.com/dissertation/about.html)

I am a doctoral candidate in Adult Education at The Pennsylvania
State University and this study is part of my dissertation research,
leading to a Doctor of Education degree.  My advisor is Dr. Melody
Thompson, Associate Director, Penn State World Campus ([log in to unmask]).

Another part of this dissertation project is the collection of
resources for moderators and facilitators of online discussion at
http://www.emoderators.com/moderators.shtml

Your responses will be combined with those of all other respondents
and individual contributions will not be identifiable. The data will
be collected using a computer script and entered directly into the
analysis program. Confidentiality of responses to this questionnaire
can only be guaranteed as far as is possible for data collected using
electronic forms.
