        I have noticed the exact same thing this afternoon and was actually
in the process of sending a message out to another list I belong to looking
for a resolution when this message came in. I actually thought that it was
something on our end as the messages are showing up in Outlook appearing to
originate from within our domain, I.E. [log in to unmask] I'm
quite happy to place the blame on someone else.

Subject: Problems with AOLs' "from:" field.

I don't know how widespread this is, but I've been seeing a lot of bounced
commands from AOL this afternoon.

/*  Begin AOL FAQ  */

It appears that sometime this afternoon 14:00 EST something was done
at AOL.com that causes their customers to transmit their mail with
an invalid "from:" field of the form:

SmithJQ ...instead of... [log in to unmask]

This will cause mail sent to listserv to vanish, until the problem
is corrected by AOL. Please report this to them.
