I haven't seen mention of this in recent days, so I hope I'm not just adding
to the chorus of "me too", but it seems that one [log in to unmask] (Steve
Young) is the latest to submit subscription requests indiscriminately.
 
Actually that needs qualification.  Interestingly enough, though he has
submitted requests to join all of the private lists I manage (2 or 3 times
for each), he has not subscribed to a single one of my public lists, whose
names fall under the same prefix.
