Assuming the message otherwise meets with *all* the list rules,
and is not clearly slanderous, libelous, or defamatory,

and assuming you are not predisposed to avoid all
involvement in justice being done,

Why not tell him you'll post it for him anonymously, or he
can send it anonymously through a remailer, to lessen the
"intensity" or the situation?
