In view of the importance for list owners to keep their equipment always
operational, I thought the readers of this list would be interested in knowing
of a standalone electronic product which performs unattended monitoring of
equipment, machinery, premise security etc. When user-specified conditions
occur, it automatically creates and delivers text messages to any alpha
pager(s), and/or to other destinations.
 
In another mode, its serial port connects to your "data devices", like
PC's, printers, automation eqpt., etc., and monitors the data streams,
watching for user-specified keywords. When received, they "trigger" the
product, and it will then _selectively_ forward data directly from
your "data device" out to people's Pagers! Forward error messages, email,
dispatch instructions, financial data, printer output, etc.
