The aliases.names file that L-Soft maintains provides this functionality.
Unless the situation has changed, you can make temporary updates to your
local copy of this file to alias one hostname with another, and send
permanent updates to L-Soft to be reflected in the "gold standard"
aliases.names file that they maintain.
