On AOL, if the user doesn't highlight any part of the original message before
hitting the reply key, there'll be no quote at all in the answer.

Ingrid, forward the following to the AOL member subscribed to your list and
make sure he doesn't hit the forward key instead of the reply key, (from the
AOL offline help):

To use automatic quoting in e-mail responses

1   Open the e-mail message you want to respond to.

2   Highlight the section of text you want to quote to select it.

3   Click Reply (or Forward).

4   Add your response to the quoted material.
