I think that just shuts off the sending of a notification that a post has been
recieved ...  and ACK turns on the sending of that kind of notification [which
also tells how many subscribers on the list are set to mail/digest] .. on the
oother hand ... for a poster to get copies of his/her own posts to a list the
listowner would send the following command to listserv@:

set Listname Repro for [log in to unmask]

or a subscriber can send:

set listname Repro

To make it so a person doesn't get copies of their own posts to list it would be
NOREPRO.

You can also put ack/noack and repro/norepro  in the Default-Options= of the
list's header to set the subscriptions of all new subscribers after the edited
header is placed.
