I've recently decided to moderate one of my lists after the S/N ration got
absolutely miserable and I received nothing but positive responses from
list members about the idea.

However, I don't really wish to have the entire burden of moderating upon
my shoulders alone, and I don't think anybody else does, either. LISTSERV
makes it quite easy to have multiple moderators, but I'd like suggestions
on how to figure out which moderators should approve what. That is, how do
I prevent more than one editor from sending the same note to the list? I
can think of some solutions, but none of them are especially graceful, so
I'd appreciate hearing from those who have already dealt with this problem.

And, as a note of clarification: I recently sent LSTOWN-L a Cc: of a form
letter I've created to deal with spammers. Two people have asked me if I
was aware that I had sent that note to LSTOWN-L; yes, I am aware; I
intended that (single) copy to show the members of LSTOWN-L--an appropriate
forum, as best I can tell--how I have decided to deal with the spamming
problem, and to encourage them to do likewise. Perhpas I should have stated
that explicitly instead of relying on people reading the headers; in any
event, I am doing so now. As a couple others have asked, pleave feel free
to use, in any manner you like, the message I sent (write to me for a
copy).

Thanks all,

b&
