Greetings,

I manage a list hosted on LISTSERV 1.8d and am considering stopping
the flow of messages for a short period (3-4 days at most) in order to
let some hotheads cool off that have dominated the list.

What is the best way to do this?  Should I set it moderated and just
not send any submitted postings through?  I'd prefer to just not
accept any postings at all during the shutdown.
