Maybe this list is called lstown becasue it can't be named listserv - I
fugured that much out :->  As a rather new listowner this list has been
a wealth of information.  I have to say that I don't always know which
list a post is appropriate for.  I have the "you are now subscribed .."
message but I don't have one that describes the purpose of this list.
My presumption was that it was for questions of listownership on lists
running on listserv.

I guess I'm not sure about the definition of spam as it is being used
here.  I thought it was unwanted mass mailing.  Isn't that different
from mischief being perpetrated on our lists? I would like to know how
my list informaton is being used and how my list may be being used. Is
there a description of the focus of this group? It seems posts attacking
listserv lists are a different issue from mass mailings that get
through.

Still trying to be clear. (Apologies to any who are feeling cranky
today.)
