Cit1.citadel.edu is the same machine as vax.citadel.edu -- I had no trouble
 telenetting to the former (port 25) and using vrfy to see that leonardj is a
 valid userid.  So I suspect the problem is indeed at princeton, or at least
 not at citadel.  Sorry I can't suggest anything more. -- Phil
