Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is having a decent new year. :)

I have a problem.
Someone is getting mail from my list ([log in to unmask])
but is not in the subscriber's list that I can find. I've
looked at each address from his node and nothing looks even close.
Have also searched on his name... nothing. He says that suddenly
he was getting mail from multiple lists... Sounds like someone
intentionally mailbombed him using listservs to do it. I sent him
the unsub global command but that won't do any good if he's not
subscribed from the address he sends the command from. Now
given that I have my list set up so that people have to
confirm their requests to subscribe, it means that some
other address in my subscriber's list is the culprit. Right?
and I should be able to find that in the message header.

Here's the guy that's getting the unwanted mail:
>From: Paolo Pizzi <[log in to unmask]>

and here's a message header from a list message he received:
-----------------------------------------
>Received: from m-net.arbornet.org ([log in to unmask]
>[209.142.209.161]) by
>finland.it.earthlink.net (8.8.7/8.8.5) with ESMTP id AAA21046

>m-net.arbornet.org
>(8.8.5/8.8.6) with ESMTP id DAA01755 for
><[log in to unmask]>;
-----------------------------------------

and this address [log in to unmask] *is* subscribed to
my list. Is this the person who is mailbombing him??

What recourse does this person have in terms of being mailbombed
like that? Anyone know? I am going to suggest that he document
this situation and at least go to the offender's ISP on it.

Right now, I'm going to go quiet set nomail for the liebe address
and see if that stops list mail from going to the timeelapsed
address to confirm my suspicions while I wait to hear back
from you guys.

Thanks for your assistance.

Betty
