Dear Hamid and LSTOWN-L Folks,

>how to edit or delete list Archives?

Because the thing being discussed is called
at least three names, one would first do these
three searches:

search (edit archive) or (delete archive) in lstown-l
search (edit log) or (delete log) in lstown-l
search (edit notebook) or (delete notebook) in lstown-l

Among other things, you'll find you want to
read at least these messages, for the mechanics:

getpost LSTOWN-L 002195 018896 018926
getpost LSTOWN-L 022456 022458 025663
getpost LSTOWN-L 025664 025138 025155 025156

Commands above should be sent to Peach, of
course:

Which will eventually lead you to:

Which (now) points to:

  http://www.lsoft.com/manuals/1.8d/qs/editlogs.html

For whatever it's worth, I like Programmers File Editor
(PFE) for editing large text files (and small files, too).

or

Oh, if you have a choice, you should read and consider
the many opinions about the rightness or wrongness
of editing logs/notebooks/archives - you'll get an
adequate flavor of this from the searches above, I think.
[But not from just the getposts.] It's almost religious.

Save a backup, too, in case of disaster.

I wish you well.

 Pax,
