Hmm, it's probably best if I don't comment on that in public. L-Soft
international Inc. started in February 1994 as a desk in a corner of
Logika's office (Logika later became the Walter Shelby Group following a
trademark conflict with Logica of NY). At that time they had physical
access to our machines and everything that was on them. I am not claiming
anything at this point, just that they had physical access to our
machines and everything that was on them. L-Soft may or may not choose to
make other claims at a later date and in a more suitable forum.

Setting aside the very special nature of our relationship with this
particular company, it looks like the main feature of this new mailing
list manager is its web interface. As you know, L-Soft is also moving in
that direction. Unfortunately this project got stalled due to growing
pains and only about 1/3 of the functions have been implemented to date
(archive interface and the search engine we now call CataList). However,
the hiring spree finally started paying off about a month ago, and a lot
of progress has been made on our agenda recently: database functions for
non-VM systems, web interface for list archives with full MIME support
(now interfaced to the database functions), spoofed subscription
detector, "hands off" bounce management, Macintosh version, "super-list"
support, etc. We still have a backlog, but it's melting away. Dave Boyes
joined L-Soft two days ago :-), and will be in charge of the web
interface project. Dave Hanna is working full-time on a management GUI
for NT and we will be announcing a couple of new products this summer for
LISTSERV's 10th anniversary. There will be a big celebration with all
sorts of interesting things happening, but it's a surprise and the
marketing folks will kill me if I so much as drop a hint :-)
