The earthlink DNS problem is still a problem, but I have just come up
with something strange that MAY explain it.  I tried some pings both
from my PC (connected to earthlink DSL) and also from Panix.com.  Both
gave the same results:

From Panix:

Is this normal?  Shouldn't there be a node that responds to 
"Lsoft.com".
