When a user subscribes to a list via email sending the command below:

SUBSCRIBE listname Firstname Lastname

to the list server address.

Because firstname lastname are vacant fields, can a subscriber insert
anything in here...such as an ID numbers?  My thinking is, that listserv
just needs something in these fields and it doesn't really matter what
the content is!!  Has anyone used this before as a way to collect other
data rather than their first and last names?
