The mail template file (Listname mailtpl) can be edited to stop the sending of
a message to the poster that it being forwarded to the editor.
 
If you has never modified the mailtpl file, then you must request the default
mailtpl and then put it back on your system with the changes as listname
mailtpl.  Also make an entry in your filelist.
 
The procedures and commands are pretty accurate in the documentations.
