No because it has to login to Listserv POP server with Listserv account &
pasword.

This has *nothing* to do with Listserv; it's a feature of your mail system.
Make sure that all your settings are correct.

Not true.  Otherwise nobody would ever be able to send anything to LISTSERV.

Yes, this is part of the security procedure, but they do not need a password
to
reply to this email, they only need to Reply and write OK.
