I've been trying out the temporary file archive system under Unix (HP-UX
9.05 and Listserv 1.8b), and have been having problems storing a test file.
I've created a directory on the server to hold such files
/users/listserv/files
permissions 750
I've created a new site.catalog file in ($LSVROOT)/home with one line in
it as follows:
UGAPPS.C UGAPPS.C./users/listserv/files ALL [log in to unmask]
This file is readable by Listserv. When I try to store the file, with the
following mail message to the server, I get a nasty error message in the log.
Mail message body:
-------------------------- SNIP -------------------------------
PUT UGAPPS.C PW=<mypasswd>
..... file follows .....
------------------------- SNIP --------------------------------
Error message in log:
-------------------------- SNIP -------------------------------
System error occurred while processing "PUT UGAPPS.C PW=XXXXXX" command
from [log in to unmask] See enclosed traceback for more information.
Serious error occurred - traceback follows
------------------------------------------
>>> Error X'00000011' opening file /users/listserv/files/ugapps.c <<<
-> Severity: Warning
-> Facility: Generic error codes
-> Abstract: File/major entity not found
-> I/O mode: Block write
The first piece of the file is:
Any ideas?? Forward slashes vs. backslashes when specifying the directory
in site.catalog?? Does there have to be a dummy zero-length file existing
beforehand?
TIA,
Scotty
