ADD is (and must be) case sensitive. If the user is already subscribed
under an equivalent address, you get a warning. LISTSERV can't know
whether you sent the command twice by mistake, or wanted to correct the
subscription because the old address was in the wrong case. So it just
adds the user tells you to check it out. Commands like SET only affect
the address that is closest to the one you type, otherwise it would be
impossible to register a user under (say) both Internet and BITNET
addresses with one of the two addresses set to NOMAIL. DEL and SIGNOFF
removes anything that matches. So the only way you can get yourself
subscribed twice to a list under slightly different addresses is through
the help of the list owner.
