Don't confuse Microsoft Outlook with Microsoft Outlook Express (the
program packaged with the Browser) These applications are light
years different, enough so that I wonder why they have the same name.

Personally, I don't like Eudora Lite (the shareware program) and
haven't seen enough of Eudora Pro to decide - initial glance didn't
find enough pluses to convince me to give up Pegasus. I like Outlook
Express for one reason - it reads the HTML digests wonderfully and I
like HTML. Microsoft Outlook was more program than I found useful
on my NT 4.0 machine where I work. I can see where the integration
would be great in a corporate situation if you are using all the
bells and whistles, but for email and internet type of things, it is
pure overkill. Especially if you don't want to wait for a program to
finish loading before you can use it. For my everyday mail
administration and reading, I use Pegasus. Pegasus does a great job
with mime digest, so my list traffic has gone down from 800 messages
per day to about 100. When I was getting the regular digests, I
rarely read more than the top few lines, with how Pegasus handles the
Mime digests, any interesting mail is easily found, opened, and
replied to.
