I'm working on a project that will enable users to retrieve articles via
our listserv archive. My question, or request for suggestions, has to do
with a problem we've noticed.

If we save the files as text files, with line wrapping, and the user
retrieves them using the f=mail instruction (which we started using because
everything kept coming to us in netdata format), they come through
flawlessly into conventional windows email programs, but if the users is
trying to obtain these files using a main frame based emailer such as pine,
the lines do not wrap properly and the text is broken up.

Is it possible to format the text in such a way that it will wrap properly
either in email clients or terminal readers?

Second is it possible to use listserv archives to distribute files as
attachments rather than text within the body of email.

Thanks in advance for everyone's collective wisdom.
