Speaking as a small Listowner, only managing four lists of 35-195 subscribers,
I, too, do not know about maximum file sizes and CREN, but it does seem from
a series of retrievals of Soviet material from Listserv sites, that it would
be better if limits were raised, and secondly, that it appears that there is
a wide disparity in limits from site to site, no matter what the "rules" are.
As was pointed out fairly eloquently by the owner of HISTORY in his paper
at the Mid-American Regional History Conference yesterday, the number of
users and and amount of traffic continues to increase, and probably this trend
will eventually expoentially increase, so that it makes sense for CREN to
consider upping the file limit number. Just a little guy's opinion, VMS
